well here it is. the show went well last night. had a good turnout and garnered a good amount of interest. i'm just glad its over, since i've been effectively working two jobs for the past month and a half, so i can relax now. thanks to everyone who came out and supported. well, here they are, in no particular order...hope you like.-c36
i know you've seen this one before, but in the interest of being thorough...

man,, i really love the way you idolize the spray cans..
ive found that the various instruments of expression that i use in my life seem to posess an undescribable spiritual power,, kinda like a soul.. for instance,, i find myself wanting to caress the curves of my bass guitar, and i get unexplanable pleasure knowing its in the room with me.. i also have an obscinely large collection of old and broken skateboard decks ive used over the years that i cant seem to throw out for the same reasons.. each deck seems to have a character and i can almost attatch a memory to all of them.. but even a board that ive never personally skated posesses the same power to me... its the instrument that you identafy with and ultimately see yourself in..
people always see the instrument as a device for expressing outward but maby examining the expressions of the instrument its self is even more personal?
great series man,, whish i could have seen it in person.

justin, thanks for bringing the show to the forums :) i was so biting myself in the ass over the fact that i won't be able to see the coro show.
really awesome work you got there, man. i love the last two spraycan images. the second last is so dynamic in its shapes (the ellipses... what prom said) and the last looks like some old master portrait of a spray can :)
those colors are yummy.
i just miss your very own inkbrush style in the mix.

hey i'd be really careful with that stuff, society is at a point where if some kid gets arrested for tagging a mailbox and they find out he's seen your art you can be sued for giving him the idea that art is beatiful in all it's forms. :D nice stuff man, i am a big fan of the textures and closeups of cans. there's a certain romantic lighting going on that makes everything seem magical. wish i could see this stuff in person

wow! haha! thanks everyone! glad you all are feeling these! this was the first show i've ever "themed"... i wanted all the work to take from my graffiti background in some way or another...it's very humbling to see so many positive posts..
Dan.v.D.: wow! yeah, arnold got me on when nobody else would even look at my portfolio. arnold is one of the greatest artists i've ever had the pleasure of working with. he is truly visionary, and i learned volumes from him. he gets embarrassed when i tell him that i owe my entire career to him, but i do. thats awesome you found the arnoldo/coro connection!
TARGETE: thanks man. as always i'm honored that you even took the time to look at my shit, let alone praise it! you the man...are you coming out to the bay anytime soon?
Lono: awww yeah! i've never painted cans like that before, it was a fun experiment. the name of the show was " the tools of war" so i wanted to really highlight that. i think cans are beautiful, utilitarian, functional. that and i love painting metal!
Prometheus|ANJ: thank you sir. haha glad you caught those ellipses! that was such a bitch! i think thats the only painting where they're not off. i got lucky on that one...
Arwar : maybe if i can get back down there with my camera i'll flick the other four. but i swear that they are nothing to write home about...
bRyaN: i'd love to do a ny show! seems nobody will give me the time of day up there...yet
Marko Djurdjevic : haha! hardly. you are the king!
to everybody else who i didnt reply to specifically, thanks again. this was a very personal show for me, and its nice to get such a warm response toward it.-c36

Great pieces man. I wish you would bind your sketchbooks, and sell them. I would be the first one at the door to buy one of those babies!:)
Hey coro, have you ever heard of manone? What am I talking about, you graff, so of course you have. But anyways, he has a shop in the L.A area called crewest. I think his website is crewest.com, but its a graffiti shop, where they exhibit a lot of work, and I know they would go crazy for your stuff. It's not this huge space, for showing, but maybe it would help get your stuff out there in the L.A area. Their opening nights are pretty damn sweet. Live D.J, and its always packedin there. I think you'd like it, so why not take a look at their site?

Some nice work......My favorite is the paint can bot. Has a good feel to it and is fun to boot.
Keep in mind.....You can always convert a canvas to digital but you can't easily get a digital image onto a canvas.....which make these works all the more valuable!

Justin: Well I have a few friends who really dig your stuff...i mentioned that to you before but i don't remember where...
They appreciate the way your traditional art training combined with your bombing skills..in my opinion it created something refreshing...
you could even do a samll traveling show in the 5 boroughs...if you need help finding places to display i'll gladly help out..

I've been looking and lurking for a while, but I had to post my admiration for this work here. The second picture - the close-up of the spraycans - just blows my mind. The colours are electric.
Inspiring work.
