I've been doing a bit of playing around with clay lately. One of my problems is when I'm tring to do a figure the legs arn't strong enough to support the body.
I have a tutor who sez that if i used any non clay material for extra support, like the wire skeleton that most modlers do at the for the base of their models, it is more than likely that the clay would crack when it dries.
Is there anyway around this? and what materials are good to use as an alternative to clay?
I have been using a white clay, I believe it is the type used to make china.
