I thought it was about time that I should try to post on here. I believe I've been reading this messageboard for over a year now and havent really said much.

A lot of the work I've done recently has been inspired by a few people here. Bengal, Foster and Imp_head are a few of my favorites.

Here's some work that I've done in the past few weeks since I quit my job at Nerve Software. I decided it was definitely time to try to improve my portfolio before moving on to another company.

This image is something that I just finished. I started getting tired of working on it and I think its a little evident in the final product. Maybe in a few days I'll touch it up.

This next image is a portrait of a friend of mine. I did it as a study.

Here's another quick, silly, image that I did just because I was bored and had a few hours to waste.

I threw together a website for my portfolio. It needs some work but at least it functions while I look for a new job.

You can visit it here:

these pics are ridiculously cool my freind. I'm not absolutely amazed by the concepts but the execution is really really good. That style is very slick, your subject matter looks really tangeble.

Thanks guys!

MonkeyBurger: I completely agree about the concepts. Lately when I want to do a color piece I tend to just throw the concept together so I can just get right to the meat of it.

Up until a few months ago I was mainly using photoshop to do color concepts. Then some friends got me to start using painter and it has made a world of difference. Also I had changed my process a bit after seeing a lot of the color variations that Bengal came up with in his work.

Heres a color concept that I did of a space suit for a project I was working on. This marks my transition from photoshop to painter. The first part was done in PS and then finished later in painter. This is also before I changed the way I went about doing a digital painting, so the colors are a bit more drab.

Lono: That first image could use a lot of lighting changes. Though I'm not sure how much I want to overhaul it right now. I'm kind of sick of looking at it :)

Btw.. Here's something I just finished tonight. It took me about 3 or 4 hours. I did it for a weekly wordplay thing I do with a few other artists..

2 dollars a ride!

1 dollar to hug!

Beware.. the saddlefish has bowel problems! Hug at your own risk.

I.was.ink: i use the word "Titts" like most people use "Cool"..
because titts are cool, and i believe the two words should parallel eachother.

for example,, lets say i just saw you preform a radical manuver on your skateboard,,, i would then respond with,,
"dude that shit was totally Titts brah!!"

I really like your work. Your low poly human is great. Do you think it could use some more geometry at the bending points? Thanks for sharing! -benzero

Thanks for the compliments!

Benzo: Yeah he probably could use some more. His main purpose is to be a base model that I can build over. Since I dont animate much I tend to forget to add extra polygons for articulation. It should be fairly easy to add though..

I really need to start doing more high poly 3D models now, but I have been having a lot of fun painting recently.
