There are lots on posing of figures. I need one on how muscles look flexed/not flexed, from the side and front. Male and female would be great. But finding such a book has been futile so far.

You need an Atlas of Anatomy for Artists by Stephen Rogers Peck.

Living Anatomy by R D Lockhart-Small out of print book. Very good photos.

Surface Anatomy by Joseph Royce-Also out of print. Worth owning if you can find it cheap.

Color Atlas of Surface Anatomy by Kenneth Backhouse-Medical text that has alot of good images.

These are all books of photography that show the musculature as seen from the surface forms. The best is the first one listed.

I belive there is a pdf of Gottfried Bammes out there. It's in german though, but the drawings and photos speak for them selves. Here's a link i found: http://rapidshare.com/files/102800692/Gottfried_Bammes_-_Der_Nackte_Mensch.zip

Not to highjack the thread, but I'm also looking for a good anatomy reference book, preferably one that would be good to learn from, instead of just referance.

The name's I've seen so far are Anatomy for the Artist (From reviews, I gather it is more photography and less anatomy info) HUMAN anatomy for the artist (From what I've read, its full of medical grade talk and not quite as many pictures) And the Atlas of human anatomy..which I havent read.

What is the book for someone who is still learning their anatomy?
