You've got some very nice linework going on...especially in the cloth. I would leave the cloth alone, and go in with some detail on the figure to really make it pop out. Nice job!

Yeah, perhaps this should be in WIP or sketches.

It's a bit low on detail compared to the original spawn style and perhaps a bit 'undaring' pose wise. Not that many exaggerated lines. The cloak is swooshely swooshy though.

A female spawn is probably not so pretty under that suit if she got the same treatment as her male counterpart (It's somewhat of a rule that all female characters in comics should be hawt).

AURA is right...you made cape look cool, but figure kind of plaine. Chains could use some work. I like the shape of the girl.

Nice image. I especially like the cape, it has some nice flowing going on. The chick, I think she needs a little more ass. That might focus the eye a bit more. :)
