[ On planets that are closer to nebulae, the night sky must be unbelievably gorgeous. ]
[ Reference might be appropriate... ]
[ ...And the craft might be little more than a silhouette, depending.

My first attempt at the DSG activity - This took 2 hours in Photoshop and theres lots more i wanted to do, but thought it wouldn't really classify as a 'sketch' if i spent any longer on it. Nice work Mitze and Goran!

Done using the Crab Nebula photo's from Hubble as a good reference! Figured I'd go for the asteroid landing of some sort instead of a planet with atmosphere to ruin the good view!

Little green alien has landed ship on a redish planet near an emission nebula to go for a hike and see the sunset.
I probably could have helped myself when it came to the generic disc shaped interstellar ship, but I painted it and couldn't get myself to change it.(I chose not to)

I wish I could finish it, but I already used like an hour and a half. It's too early for me. @_@

A lot of excellent stuff here everyone. I'm gonna start to try and take part in this challenge. I just need to keep reminding myself.

Just a quicky today being Canada Day and all ....
Everyone has created a 'ship' but the way I see it is that we really don't know what a 'spaceship' looks like, so I decided to look outside the box for my answer and came up with this idea :)

Well, I spaced out the "landed" part. I decided I've freed up enough to pick up the DSG's again, so with tablet and Photoshop in hand I created this at work!

Ok, this is my first post here, gonna try to follow the dsg and hopefully I´ll get a good flow in my work soon enough. I´ve been struggeling for some time with my creativity, so the dsg is a fantastic way to get going.
Anyway, my entry is a classic spaceship that has just landed on a deserted planet, with the massive Popsicle nebula in the background, would be glad to receive feedback on this, just rip it to pieces and give me hell. :rendered:
