annoying eyedropper tool

While painting, I am constantly switching for the eyedropper tool to the brush tool, but I have come a accross a problem.

For some reason, my eyedropper tool keeps sampling color to the "background" color, and not the active "forground" color.

Holding down the Alt key while clicking is supose to do this, but i'm not pressing alt.

I have tried reseting the tool to default setting, but that doesn't seem to fix it.

So a few hours later, I realize that the i had the "background" swatch selected on the color window, which had been minimized. >:|
