hey! i just came back for the summer as well..

looking good... i guess something i would suggest right now is put a bit more attention into the structure of the face.. it almost seems like you're a little scared to push it, you get the features down and then move on and spend alot more time on the body/clothing.. when you get the face right everything else just seems to fall into place.. maybe try playing around with shadows, light source..

yeah i get what you mean, i do tend to skip the work on the faces a bit.
I've been meaning to focus on facial anatomy more recently.

You look like you have some cool ideas here.
My advice for you would be try doing a lot more life studies and try to get back to fundamentals because when your better grounded when you do things from imagination you have things to go off of. :)

Also amarryth made many valid points.

yeah i should really do more work from life. ive been working on some gesture sketches and stuff, im gonna try to get into more first hand observation
