Hey Folks,
On the heels of JoshaJames' NC Wyeth post I thought I'd post some pics from my old 1914 first edition of Pyle's Otto of the Silver Hand. Pyle wrote and illustrated a number of different children's adventures at the turn of the century, many deriving from the Arthurian Myths.
I look at Pyle's linework not for his chunky Durer-like details, but more for his sense of theaterical shadow drop outs, and over all design...
Hope you dig em,
Chuck Lukacs
Get on in here Pyle..
