I got bored, and was sick of the plain laptop cover... So I got out some Prismacolor Markers and this is what I got... Surprisingly the ink stayed in place and dried. Water didn't effect it, rubbing on it barely smudged the ink... We'll see how it holds up over time. And yes... I use a crappy HP laptop....

Cool design. Reminds me of the Punisher logo. I agree that most computers look boring...I have modded several of my computers by spray painting them and cutting them up.
Anyway, you might get a better look if you made a cutout of the skull and spray painted around it. Be sure to tape up everything you don't want to get paint in or on!

It's weird, I've been toying with the idea of drawing on my computer for a while, I always accidentally smear paint on it, so I figured I'd find a way to mod it.
Anyway, I was looking around, and American Science and Surplus (http://www.sciplus.com/) has some rolls of adhesive backed vinyl paper for pretty cheap. Maybe that would hold ink better?

lol, this reminds me of people pimping out their VWs and Rice Burners. It may not be fast, but at least it looks fast!

The smudges and stuff on the case, I had to work really fast. The inks dried pretty quick, and I found that laying the dark down, letting it dry, and then working with a lighter color (20-40%) grey worked like a subtractive medium. I actually went in and worked the swirls and markings a little more yesterday. I may have to try the Vinyl later. For now though, it's staying really good.
