Im currently working on a couple of comicpanels with Marc Müller. Its supposed to be an oriental kind of setting.
This is the first approach.

Maybe shes an european slave of some sort.....or maybe thats just wishfull thinking.... ;)
As far as the image is concerned its very well done espeacially the lighting and the background. The chick has some anatomy issues regarding her abdomen and the shape of her hips which are a bit cartoonish (dunno if that was your intention). Her breasts look a bit off. her left boob is bigger than her right one. It should be the other way around in this perspective.
Other than that very nice compositon and as i said wonderfull pallete imo. cheers m8

And what a beuty she is!
Her left hand is a bit wrong I think, it gives the impression her thumb is webbed. I'm not sure about the anatomy of her midrift but I'm far far from being an expert.
I can say however that I love this picture, especially the background which is oooozzing with depth.

Winjer -
There was a fashionwave in the early 2000 bc. evey chick was running around with died hair.
SaRcAsM - its supposed to look like a comicstyle. think you are right about her boobs
Monkeyburger - Thanx. Ill work on her hands.

Love the colours and lighting. Impeccable. Shouldn't be changed, I think.
The way she contrasts in front of the darkened hallway is brilliant.
What does bug me is the torso. Although I see you were being faithful to the sketch, I don't think that it works in the context you're using it. I think it would help to make this more realistic, proportion-wise. If that sarong were really that low, you'd completely be able to see her crotch (which I know a lot people around here wouldn't object to... but still).
Making the legs longer might help as well. It would even her out more. Maybe make her look a bit more stereotypical here, but considering how you've redrawn the face, I think it'd mesh better.
Overall, it's an *excellent* pic. Keep 'em comin!

I second what the others said before regarding the anatomy issues. However, the overall execution is stunning. I like that immensely. Also, the sketch with the two women has much charme. I like the smirk on the right one's face!

with all the crits here i can't believe no one has touched on the balance issue. this girl is horribly off balance. she looks like she's gonna fall over onto the jug. when carrying something of the size and weight(i'm assuming it's a clay jug and pretty heavy) a person's tendency is to lean away from it. there has to be a counter balance. the other problem is the width of the stance. it looks like her feet are right next to each other and therefor not as stable. her left leg (our right) should be pushed out further that direction.
i do agree with the other crits... the hand needs work, as well as the torso, (use a photo if you need it, try a swimsuit mag, or even better, victoria secret catalogue) and the boob needs to be adjusted.
nice image... just make those adjustment and it could be a great image.
i really like the hallway and the palms on the left side.

Aside from the points that everyone else pointed out, the girl looks more caucasian than oriental/eastern asian. The environment also seems more arabic/persian than oriental as well.
The painting itself has a nice, soft touch to it. Kudos.

Thanx for the critics I know there is some work to do to make it complete. I will see if i find the time to do the corrections.

pretty solid piece. as far as the overall pic is concerned, i think there are rendering inconsistencies. the background is done in a completely different rendering style than the character. this makes her feel pasted in to the enviroment. echoing the rendering of the girl in the background elements will give it a consistency that its lacking right now. the composition is great, by the way.-c36

thanx coro, I did the girl first and spend a lot of time into her rendering. Then i did the background which isnt that detailed and a little sketchy. I find it rather hard to give the
bg the same clean look but its something Im looking forward to in my future pictures.

I like it, but watch-out for the torso-pelvis junction, you inverted the curve and her belly-button is too low, I think women's are a bit higher than a male's. The rest of the deformations work though. The colors are soothing.

it was planed as a comic character. then she became a quite realistic face. now you expect a real human anatomy from the rest too. I think the style needs some work. Marc is more into comic, Im more into realistic, lets see where we end.
