Hi, what we are looking for is concept art for a new Sci-Fi concept. We want a broad range of ideas which we can whittle down as we choose which direction to ultimately go in. The story is set ~200 years in the future and is centered on a future governed by burgeoning nano-technology and genetics modifications. Part of the concept is that human genetic modification was toyed with in the past and ultimately outlawed/heavily regulated, so people will still look pretty much like people.

Bearing down a bit, we want some examples of some imagery in the world as you see it and some visual representations of more abstract ideas like nano-technology and subtle genetic manipulation. Major players in the storyline include powerful genetics and nano-tech corporations, so corporate logo ideas would be great too.

The proposed format is: give us your name, a sample of your work and let us know what aspect of this you would like to work on, and we’ll come back at you with some more information about the project as well as what we’re offering. Because our main concern right now is to generate a lot of potential artwork, we are paying by volume more than anything else.

Contact is: zak00@live.com

Thanks!

Zak00,

Can you clarify for everyone that you're NOT asking for anyone to do "spec" artwork (FREE artwork) for you? You're only looking to pay for the artwork that you hire people to produce, yes?

Or are you asking people to audition for you, spending their time drawing specific samples just to be considered for your project?

Is this a game setting? Movie? Graphic novel? Can you be more clear on what "paying by volume more than anything else" means? Does that mean people that crank out more work get paid more, even if none of their work ends up being used?

Also, by being in the freelance forum I assume that each artist can expect at least $500?
