I was gone for a while, I went on a road trip (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26783729@N04/sets/72157605172426461/) for two whole months. I ended up working harder on the road, than I do at home. So I was missing for a while.

I went 10,575 miles in seven and a half weeks. From Oregon on across to the northeast coast, to the south, through the southwest and CA, and then on up to washington state, then home. I worked at several conventions and a few studios along the way, and stopped in about fifteen towns or cities. I got to do some collaborative work, see some old friends and co-workers from long ago, and renew old networks I'd let fall idle.

Now that I'm home-

I need to get back on the plans I have to do daily work, now that summer is coming it will be even more of a challenge to stay focused on the page/canvas, but I'm going to try!

edit:sorry about the image-heavy post. I got excited hahaha

Sounds like a killer road trip! Good to know people still do this (even make a living do so)

hahaha don't lose your sketchbook (happened to me twice!)

if you see a weird rest stop or truck stop or some strange local business, definitely stop in and look. there's no better way to get to know the country than by going everywhere in it.

I know, being able to travel makes my job the best :)

I get to go about twice a year, usually a month each time, this year I get that 7 week trip and then a 3 week one in october, it's a good year
