I knew him well.

Okay, so this isn't Hamlet. But that is what this image reminds me of.

I find myself haunted by the image of a person contemplating a skull and I used to find myself drawing it often. Although I hadn't drawn it for a few years, it appeared again tonight:

Thanks guys. Glad you like this one.

Line has always been very important to me.. and I love making abstract patterns for some reason.

Associating even a part of my drawing with Jack Kirby makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. He is definately one of the heavy hitters in my book. I've collected as much of his work as I can find over the years (Surfer and Galactus especially! And Thor + the Destroyer! great stuff). I love how he keeps his lines so pure while creating such emotion and yet he can still create the illusion of depth. Line and flat color creating the magic. It's something I really appreciate.

Well, I'll keep drawing and maybe get a few more posted. And thanks again for the encouraging words :D

nice dood. Every time i see your work on here, i look at it and say "wtf is this" Then I look at it again, and love it. Great style!! Peace.:D
