Just in case you didn't know, there's a lot going on with your number one influence in the next few weeks :). I don't know how hard it is for you to get to NYC, but you might want to consider a trip.

Illustrator & Painter MARSHALL ARISMAN to receive Masters Series Award from the School of Visual Arts
Retrospective exhibition in conjunction with award scheduled:October 27 - November 22, 2003
Slide lecture: October 30, 2003 from 6 - 8pm
(June 10, 2003) Illustrator, painter and educator Marshall Arisman is the 2003 recipient of the Masters Series Award given by the School of Visual Arts (SVA). Every year SVA bestows the award to a groundbreaking visual artist, designer, photographer or illustrator who, over the course of his/her career, has been recognized as a great visual communicators of our time. As part of the award, a retrospective exhibition of Arisman’s work entitled The Masters Series: Marshall Arisman, Images for Everyday Use will be held at the Visual Arts Museum (209 East 23 Street) from October 27 through November 22, 2003. An opening reception will take place on Monday, October 27 from 6 to 8pm. Mr. Arisman will give a free public slide lecture on October 30, 2003 from 6 to 8pm at the SVA Amphitheater (209 East 23 Street, 3rd Floor).
