I've started to use stock photos to help with bettering my anatomy and posing, so I can draw better people.

I'm also trying to create better faces and heads as well, and so I've come up with the idea of using stock photos as bases for drawing characters I've already developed, by using physical descriptions of them along with the stock photo, so I'm not just outright plagiarizing the photo and passing them off as a character I've created. Is it still plagiarizing to do so, even though you're trying to just use , say just head shape as a base for a character that you have some physical description of.

What you're describing sounds fine, it's exactly the right way to use reference.

Yeah ive just started to use stock photos there are some great sites out there with everything you could possibly want, and once you start drawing the things over and over you begin to learn new things and master that particular area, well ive found anyways.

So yeah its great and 100% fine to use stock photos, just as long as you find your actually learning new things and not just copying over and over.
