Realy love the first one, very nice feel to it. You seem to have the start of a very nice design on the "asian girl from referance" group. You have a GREAT grasp on faces, I love how you portray them so well everytime. Something, though, on the female form it looks like you need to work on. You portray the breasts on one of the naked women as though it was a dress that she was wearing. It just seems like you may need to study a little more life drawing of the female body, and the anatomy.
Man I truly love everything here, I love your style.
I look forward to more from you.

Kicking ass!!! Been watching each post of yours and enjoying the progression.
All up quality stuff, the technique and textures and the Indian piece(seen you work like that before aswell) is a nifty direction, keep up with that cos I can forsee you pulling off some really stunning stuff later on.
The water colours is something by the looks of things that you'll take control of nicely in the future aswell.
Makes me wanna have a go! Because the paper warps do you try to apply only a little bit of water or paint really speedy so as not to let the water really sink in a warp the page??.

Ur faces are getting better, im likin it, the only thing id say is work on ur inking and dont put the same thickness line around ur figures and stuff, ur making them look flat by putting the same thickness line around it.

imho, disregard the last statement made, i like the static line... if you're looking for more depth go ahead, but i personally think these look good flat.

mos - yeah, i think youre right about the breasts.. .they do look to be a little off. i ll do some reference drawing of female bodies.. . thanks
lukias - thanks a lot man, it really means a lot coming from you. im currently doing a larger (14" x 23") piece in watercolor, so hopefully i will be able to post that and get some feedback. i actually add more water to the sketchbook watercolors because the paper doesnt adhere to watercolors well. by adding water, i can manipulate the colors more.. . i dont really worry about the pages warping.. . i actually like way it makes my sketchbook look. but if i really cared about the pages warping, i could just iron them afterwards and flatten them (for the most part).
gasmask - thanks for the input. sometimes i keep the outlines like that because thats the way i want the picture to look (and the charcoal piece with the black outline was done with a marker.. .which is why it is all one thickness). i will pay more attention to line weight though. . it could probably help my drawings a lot.
evisr8r - thanks man. i try to play around with line weight in various pictures, so i dont always have static outlines, but i do some of the time.. . it all just depends on what im feeling at the time.
louse, panda, endregan - thanks for the feedback

Great stuff, dude. I'm curious about the references though. I was wondering if you just took references from photos and stuff for these images? Is that a good way you've found to practice? Just curious. I'm always looking for ways to improve and I've always been told to try and stay away from photo references and to "draw from life!" LoL I draw so much from life anymore that to draw from a picture seems like a welcomed change. Any hints or excercises you may do to help you improve that I might be able to use would be great! I appreciate your help. Keep up the great work. You certainly have an amazing talent.

zebz - the first image and the 2 pages with the heads were done from photo reference. the other reference work was done from life. photos dont move and they dont get impatient, so for the most part its easier to draw from them. theres nothing wrong with drawing from photo reference. .. the reason your teachers tell you to draw from life is because you get a greater feeling of space and shape. as far as advice goes, i found that loosening up with charcoal or something and studying values made my pencil drawings much more accurate. learn to study the figure and really "see" it.. .when you can do that you will be able to transfer what you see to the page accurately and effectively. blind contour drawings help you "see" the model or whatever youre drawing, or even drawing without any material (essentially you arent drawing at all, merely trying to relate what you see to an empty page) can help train your eye to become more accurate. something i have started doing recently (first seen in this post) is drawing without erasing and start off using bold lines (architecture and life drawings were done this way). hope this helps some
