got a book on Caravaggio the other day and figured i'd give a try on copying a pic. this is what i got so far... i may or may not continue, i haven't figured it out yet. thanks for looking.

ahh caravaggio, one of my favorites for sure...
caravaggio had such an amazing way of rendering light with oils, and i think you did a great job doing that with pencils - very hard to copy a caravaggio with pencils i assume!

i would continue, fill it out more - make the light and dark areas pop

Thats a great start, i would say keep on going. Spend as much time as you need to, and go for that finish.

hey thanks for the response guys. i'm still working on it, slowly but surely. this is the first time i've tried doing a master copy, i'll be sure to do more. i'll post a progress pic later on. thanks!
