Heya everyone,

I just opened up one of my PSD files I've been working on FOR THE PAST FIFTEEN HOURS and the dang thing is corrupt. Instead of being a bazillion layers, it's one layer that has a black background with red lines and stuff. :/ I got that Advanced PSD Repair program but that didn't do crap to help. Is there any possible way of recovering this image? I haven't had this happen since PS 7, years ago, so I long stopped saving three versions of each picture. GAAHH!!!!

Is there any hope or is it back to the drawing board? Pun intended.

Also... going into history doesn't really do anything, but I might not be doing it right. :(

Hey man,

What version of PS version you running? i had this problem with CS2 on my old comp but it turned out that my computers memory was the problem, it had been damaged somehow which in turn corrupted the files. It might be worth you running a memory diagnostic to find out if your memory is ok. Hope this helps.

Stu.

Hi all,

Just had the same thing as inalikealoha

nothing wrong with my comp memory though...

just a one layered black picture with red lines at the top
isn't there any way to recover it as the file is stil 70mb+ large, so there must be more information somewhere that just one black layer??

Cheers,
Cailean
