wow interesting change of pace this one is very smooth, almost...dare I say it feminin. it is refreshing to see that you continue to try new things and explore new areas of art.
I especialy like the hair...the curling ends make it look like a idealized greek hero, or somthing like that. Awesome as always:D

I will share the completed icon when it if finished, i am burnishing the gold leaf of the halo today. they take a minimum of forty hours each. they involve a great deal of time, concentration, meditation, patience and prayer to complete sucesfully. so I wouldant expect to post it any time soon, but I do expect the experience influence the rest of my work.

there are two main schools iconography russsian and greek, from a visual stand point I do prefer the greek style.
