I don't really know which web hosts are known to be good and reliable so I was wondering what does everyone here use?

Ive had success with 1and.com... I host several sites with them and theyve always been on point for me, plus their cs is awesome. - J

I'm on LunarPages.com after following the recomendations of several friends. I haven't been with them that long but from what I've seen, they're excellent and all the services they offer with the basic hosting package are amazing.

icdsoft.com -- been with them for a decade and my site's servers are in Hong Kong (you can choose now, where they are to be) and it's been an absolute /pleasure/ to be with them all these years.

I use doteasy.com. I registered a domain name and have unlimited traffic, 10 gb of space and unlimited subdomains (which I use for my art) for a total of about 120 a year. Not bad.

Been with godaddy for AGES, get my hosting and domain, plus extra bandwidth for higher traffic, etc., whole thing is about $70/year. And the support has been pretty good, too.

I'm on two: csoft.net and bluehost.com. I don't really recommend csoft. It's been a pretty good host, but when there are problems...the tech staff are incredibly snooty French Canadian Unix geeks. Stand back for a buttload of attitude! (Me: my email isn't working. Them: ma'am, we're busy; you aren't the only one whose email isn't working you know). Bluehost has been pretty good and much cheaper.
Every host I have experience with has had SOME downtime and glitches.

Here's a good deal if you ask me... I've used them before for sites and they were always helpful.

1and1 as well. Don't miss a payment though as they'll sic collection agencies after you after 2 weeks of bounced payments (forgot to upgrade my new credit card info with them. OOPS!).

been very good so far,and i don't get too much traffic anyways,so it's yet sufficient.
