If you remember me, I was the one searching for some advice about transferring out of my current school. I finished my third year and will definitely be graduating next year with a BA in Art and Japanese. I've already come to the decision that after I take a year off, I'll apply to art school but I'm not exactly sure what to go for (illustration, cartooning, traditional animation, computer animation). I really like SVA (currently taking a few classes with them) and I'm looking at a few other schools but SVA is my top choice since it's close to me, I wouldn't have to worry about dorming, etc. My Maya class was really awesome and I came out of there with a few more things to add to my portfolio. I did an animation for my final project and even though it took a lot out of me, I really did love every minute of it. This summer I'll be trying my hand at traditional animation but I really love to just draw and sketch. Since drawing will be crucial to the aforementioned majors, I really have no clue what to go for. I'm afraid that if I go straight into computer animation, I won't be able to expand my painting skills as much as I've been anticipating.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
