I want to buy a Wacom Tablet but I would rather buy from a store than a website. As far as I can tell, I can't.
Any ideas?

What's the difference though? Wouldn't a retail place have a bit of a mark up?
Maybe Wacom doesn't have in store products, but did you check some of the other brands?

Of course you can. You may have to check a bunch of different stores before you finally find one though. I checked a bunch of different places before finally finding one at Value City.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll just have to look around. I am looking for a Bamboo Fun though, and will probably just buy one from their website. I was only asking because I'd rather not have to wait 3-4 business days or whatever.

Don't know where you live but if it's not a big town or city the chances are that 30 minutes in a train will get you to a shop that stocks them, do a bit of googling.

While we're on the subject, does anyone know of any brick and mortar store that would carry a Cintiq? I've done as much googling as I possibly could, but any big-name store's website I find one on just has it as online only, and I would really, really like to try one out before I make such a huge investment.

Yeah, I'd like to try one out too. I happened to be in NY a couple weeks ago, and so stopped into the big Mac store hoping they'd have one. Sadly they did not.
Also, yeah my local Best Buy has the Bamboo in stock, so try Best Buy.

Fry's Electronics has a decent selection of tablets if there are any stores in your area.

I've seen Bamboos in Best Buy, and I bought my old Graphire at Future Shop.

Nice! Do they have them on display to test? I'd hate to ask to try one if they didn't have a demo model set up, since I'm not quite ready to spend the cash on one yet. Still, I'd love to give one a try so I can determine if it's something that is worth saving for.

Some stores specialised in photography have some too. The only place I found with all sizes of Wacom and a Cintiq on display was our trusty photo store (L.L.Lozeau if anyone is local to me.)

Yes, they do, or at least they did a few months ago. I'd call first before making a special trip.

Awesome, I'll check it out. My last trip I didn't get to visit the Society of Illustrators or the Met, so I think I'm due for another visit soon anyways.

You can, unless you live in shitty country like I do and have to order online.

Future Shop (in Canada) sell tablets. In fact, my Graphire4 was bought there. I wouldn't recommend it unless the retail price isn't jacked up compared to online orders like in Future Shop. I bought mine back when I was 14 because asking my mother to use over 100 dollars online apparently didn't seem okay with her.
Just so you know, Graphire4 in Future Shop cost me 150 as opposed to 100 when ordering online. They exist in retail stores, but price becomes a major factor.
