image orientation problem

Hi i am having a problem with my images, It was shot on a canon 5d with autorotate on. when imported to harddrive the images are opposite from image icon when i open in photoshop. If vertical it open horizontal, when i rotate and resave over old image, then open again same thing happens. How can i fix this THank you for any help

I wish I could give you real assistance, but I'll just ask; did you try turning off the autorotate and see if it still happens?
