I thought this article is an interesting read on how why one should read contracts. Whatever you feel about manga is fine, but I thought it is interesting how this business model was thought up for those trying to get into the field.
I think you may find better luck getting a job off Craig's List through their new contract business model.
It's also a good read in case other companies think this is a good business model to follow when it obviously is not.
Also this company is about to lay off 39 employees which is approx 40% of their workforce, but I think that is for another topic. I think the contract itself is an interesting read.
From what it looks like it looks like a "work for hire" with transfer of copyrights, except you don't get paid (you might, but when?) and if someone sues you, the company doesn't pay for the lawyers...you do.
