Fellow SCAD students: workshop

Howdy,

I'm startin' a workshop/sketchgroup over at the Industrial Design building... for those of my bretheren in Computer Art you'll have to venture outside of Montgomery hall (Yea, I know... natural sunlight... courage...)
Just cross the street and head north about 50 feet... can't miss it .. just don't go into the ghetto and get shot.

Soon we'll be combining the workshop with the conceptual maquette group for sculpting your designs.

Sweet SCAD people! i graduated from there a couple years ago. Of course I graduated before they got all the cool new stuff :)

Tell me about it Neil.... next year when I graduate they're opening up Marine Design and a Toy Design major... and right now some teachers are tryin' to work up a concept/entertainment design major.

I was kinda pissed that they built that new computer art building. They talked about it for 3 years when I was there while we were in that cramped dinky pink building. I hear about all this stuff because my uncle is a teacher in furniture design there. Argh!

Oh man Neil... it's a fuckin' great building..
I was over at Noris for the first part.. yea... having overfilled classes in the hallway... but now it's a freakin' warehouse! It's so nice...

and we also got a new ID building that I'm at now too!... speakin' of.. who's your uncle? we have Furniture Design in our building now too so I may know him.

God norris sucked. That 2D animation building sucked too. Actually the dorms sucked too when I was at those. I was at the one next to dyson for 2 years then got apt out on wilmington island.

What kinda PCs n Macs are they running now? They were those old intergraphs when I was there and some G4's for some of the multimedia classes. I really wish their interactive design dept was bigger when i was there, i would have taken more classes in that.

I wanna see the new buildings, I might have to take a trip down to bring back some memories or something.

Yeah actually my uncle said he was sharing a brand new building with ID and art history and architecture took over that old one across from Exlibris. His name is George Perez :)

I'm considering going there, but it's highly unlikely...unaffordable..

But with workshops like this, i'm gonna try...

Neil, I think I know whom your uncle is... in fact I'm pretty sure I've bugged him on numerouse occasions for blocks of wren...
They've actually got some of those new Macs up on the 4th floor but they're waitin' 'till they're all hooked up.
