A lot of people still seem to be using imageshack, or other similar hosting services for their drawings, paintings and whatnot. The problem is that after the image goes dead, the original poster often can't tell, since the image is usually cached locally in the temp files and will still display correctly for them.
I know there has been an effort to convince everyone to just use the CA attachment manager, but I'm still seeing these guys :404sign: all over the place. Maybe we should do another information drive to spread the word or something. Perhaps we could create a feature like the 'thanks' button, to quickly inform people that their images are no longer displaying correctly. Or maybe come up with some simple way to flag threads with more red X's than actual pictures, so that the authors could update them or something. I guess you could just use private messages, or make a new post in the thread, but it might be a little easier to get the message across if we had something a bit more official looking in place.
