Puddles looks like a sweet little creature, but you don't need to hide him behind that copyright text to protect him from theft.

This is from my project where I had to choose a book to do a cover for. I chose the book 'Gweilo'. It's an account of a British boy and his family moving to Hong Kong in Colonial times because his father was posted there. During that time, he explored Hong Kong's nooks and crannies- a particularly personal book to me as well because he went to the same junior school and grew up in the same area as me so i know exactly where he's talking about:)
Fortunately, some of the old buildings exist so i followed the trail he took in one of his many adventures and so came up with these. Enjoy!

those horse silhouette aquas are so beyond horizon.. really amazing how you manage to keep the contour sharp and exact, while the colors inside go crazy!! Maybe show us more of your lifedrawing, which is awesome, too. Like the very first image in the 1. post.

A 'practice piece' on a larger scale painting of a cave system i'm going to be doing:)
On the cave walls you will see the creatures i've invented(Inspired by the real ones that live in caves) to reside in the cave with a brief description of each.
Later on i'm hoping to extend this cave into different caverns such as a gallery of crystal formations and a glow worm cave.
Watch this space:)

This is some of the work i've done recently going towards my Childrens' story book.
I was inspired recently seeing an article in the National Geographic about these lemurs who have made a home on a precarious formation of rocks in Madagascar.
This is the link... http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2009/11/stone-forest/shea-text
It's amazing that any life actually lives there. I'm really fascinated how nature has adapted and evolved to survive in such extreme places.
Anyway, i was already doing a project on caves for my third year Illustration course and so this article came in at the right time and definitely screamed for a story to be made out of it!
So far i've been doing alot of research on the animals themselves with life drawing and such and lots of work on composition and getting the style and media to work together. There's been alot of trial and error with ink and watercolours but i've worked it out now!:)
