Hey, I've had painter X for a while and I've been trying to color some sketches of mine but they've been coming out with really solid looking cartoony colors, I was wondering if anyone had any info on painting with more color realism like alot of you do on here, what kind of brushes would you suggest if you were working in Painter for more traditional looking coloring. I would guess some of the oil and watercolor brushes but I'm not sure where to start out, I'm doing some experimenting but if anyone has any tips they would be very appreciated.

Thanks

I don't have painter but what I usually do to get colors is pick out a few from the color picker window (in painter I think it's a triangle with a wheel around it) and use a hard edged low opacity brush to mix them together, add some bright complimentary colors and make a palette out of them.
