New Color Study, Need Help

after reading some of the pages filled with help provided by capt. harlok (sp?) in my last digital painting post, i decided to do a color study and get a feel for the program. i learned a lot even though it is not great and i will keep practicing. next time i will use reference

looks good, big improvement as far as i can tell. proportions look off, but hey... who am i to say that? : ) keep it up man, nice job! i need to start practicing now... :D

harlock" yeah youre completely right man, proportions suck. i should have used reference but just like a noobie i jumped into, i guess i was real anxious to get cracking on the color stuff. thanks for the kind words.

Its a color study, meaning he didn't have reference for the drawing, but he was just testing coloring out..

Kind of like color studies for movies, where they just draw a basic scene to test out the colors..

Although I dont think this drawing should really be called a study, so i know where you're coming from with that question..

damn, you guys are right, i feel really dumb. i think what i meant was that i was working out the program, i was trying to mix colors and find a way to make good color transitions. i dont know what im talking about. sorry bout that.
