Yo dawgs!

Another funked out illustration from me titled "Life is Good." All Photoshop, All the time. Enjoy.

I also just recently finished up all 40+ illustrations for a children's book that will hit the stores September 2008. It's called "Welcome to Monster Isle." I'll post some art from that very soon, but you can also see some of it at my blog (http://www.jeffmiracola.com/blog).

Wow, that's dreamy. I like the kind of "mandala" feel it's got going on, without it really being too much like...anything, really. It's unique and I love it. I don't think this could be improved on at all. I keep looking at different areas and trying to imagine them made darker or with more contrast, and it's never an improvement.

What?

Just one pic!?

I feel cheated.
:(

Seriously,
it's always great to hear what you're up to, Jeff.
I'll be sure to pick this up the moment it hits the stands.
Good luck!

I am obsessed with this. So cool. I love how controlled and tight everything is, really adds to the design.

Definitely love the crazy kid with the lantern. Looks like he just had a good time

gaaaah

Great as always. I never understand how you can so effortlessly juxtapose a multitude of elements and end up with a completely cohesive work. Color, shape, texture, pattern, theme, etc, etc. Mind blowing.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. And since Dan made me feel so bad for only posting one piece of art, I am posting a few previews from my upcoming children's book titled "Welcome to Monster Isle." It will be available September 2008.

The art previews are the cover of the book, a few monster spreads and an overview of the island.

This book has been quite a departure for me artistically, not to mention it has taken forever to get done. But it has been very rewarding. I enjoyed it so much that I am already in the beginning stages of doing a second children's book about a different subject though.

Love the unique style. Colourful and fun.
The first one is the best IMO, but only because I like the extra textures in the image.
