halp!

so im workin on this minotaur/centaur image and im kinda stuck with it right now. but if anyones got some ideas for it id like to hear em.

also here's some retarded random sketches.

looking good, the two figures with the way they are posed seem a little unrelated. confused focus beacuase of their poses, it's rendered well. maybe the anotomy on the minotaur could be a little more defined. I love minotaurs, beastmen and stuff. you could get rid of the centaur and work on just the minotaur. He looks awesome. biased opinion but hey i like him.

Looking at again it I think the centaur has cut the minotaurs throat? (you'll have to forgive me I am partially red green colour blind so the red doesn't really stand out) but I think that goes back to what I said initially change the pose of the centaur to something like a sweeping overhead to the front stroke with a trail of blood. might read better.

I agree with hybrid about the first piece. The centaur and the minotaur look a bit unrelated. The pose of the centaur doesnt really seem like it could have just killed the minotaur. Not with the direction shes going and the way the minotaur is falling. Overall both look like their coming along well on their own, but together they are a bit confused.

ya, you guys are spot on. it was originally a different composition which i didn't like, so i just moved them around and think i got too satisfied with the overall composition and didn't think enough about the interaction.

Hybrid 75 and Newman101 are right about the first picture, but I still think it's awesome ;)

I'd put some hair on the minotaur though. Still, great rendering

I think the rough with the newly posed centuar is MUCH better. The first one looked like the centaur was doing a victory pose already, and the minotaur(sp?) was just now starting to gush blood. The new rough is very clear - the centaur has obviously just f-ed up the giant minotaur. I like this piece quite a bit!
