Crazy short. Whole thing is stop motion wall painted animation. Can't tell what kind of paint was used, but it is pretty amazing.

Considering the Argentinian paint market, it's probably just normal cheap wall paint...

Yeah it's a great vid, though i think I've seen it posted in the cheer me up thread before.

Very cool :-o This reminds me of another video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtzdxseO-gs) I saw some time ago, only cool in a different and creepy way.

the town i live in is full of this guy's work, and the man has some pretty awesome sketchbooks published and painted some really great wall paintings. This video this must be new, last time i checked his site they were just individual smaller vids...i thinks its probably just normal wall paint, its the way he uses it that is pure genius :D

ciao

I find myself divided. On the one hand, it's amazing to see that sort of 'street animation.' On the other hand, I am rabidly against graffiti art, though it looks like the artist used a lot of condemned or abandoned property to create the images.

So I'm torn about how I feel about the canvas chosen, but I admire profusely the incredible amount of work that went into the animation and the smoothness of the art.

As I've had graffiti artist explain to me: most of the time, places don't look like crap because graffiti is there, places have graffiti because they look like crap.

The exception to this, of course, is gang grafitti, which has a complete different intent, purpose, and look.

Eh, I would disagree with this, but that's neither here nor there, and probably inappropriate for the thread. The scope of the work in the video tickles my fancy, and that's good enough for me. Albeit some of it's disturbing...there's only so many times I can see someone climb out of someone else's chest or mouth before I start getting creeped out. XD

The Gnoll is he the same guy who has painted several walls in Bologna? If he's not the style is quite similar...

Pretty sure he had permission to paint on every possible bit of wall. Considering the amount of time and energy put into this, I doubt he just painted it on someone's house while they were out grocery shopping :)

Oh no, I'm sure he did --the sheer scale would make it kind of difficult to do on the fly.
