I don't know how you are thinking about this, but it got so hard to watch the threads here...as conceptart.org started there were about 10 new threads every day...now there are more than 100 (not looking for 3 days and you're like WTF!!!)

I usually click the "view posts since last visit" link, but this pushes the boundaries of my time now and i am slowly beginning to be more active on a different board, because there is the old ca feeling now...a few new threads every day and well chosen...

Nothing against good ol' ca...this is the price for a growing community...i am just curious if any members feel the same...

Maybe there will be a easier way to get the right insight when the new design goes online...

Hi Fozzy,

same with me, every Monday for weeks now (since I'm usually offline on weekends). I use the same method as you, to keep track of what's happening. And I stick to the people's names I "know" for a long time. However, this means that quite often I miss really cool threads and only realize by all the five stars what's going on.

Still, best community I took part in, ever. I also hope it stays this way!

Same here. Especially on mondays as I force myself NOT to touch a computer on weekends. I usually speed surf new threads on the Avant browser.. And spend .2 second on each thread unless it's really hardcore CONCEPT ART or just plain good/interesting pieces.

I hate to miss some good art but I don't comment as much as I used to before... C/c just become redundant... No time ! My lunch hour is starting to be too short to surf all of it :)

Jester: I used to do this too on other well crowded boards but kept missing some really kickass emerging artists.

Hehe, I only allow myself to live on one forum at a time. For years it was cg-char, now it's here. I ventured out to some other art boards recently, and saw lots of the same people. I don't know how they do it! But I like it here, maybe because I've been coming since it started, and I feel like a part of it. I still check out most art, but like Egerie I don't comment as much as I used to. Maybe I should keep a text file with my "most useful" standard comments. I AM going to try and comment more though.

BTW, I love it when people title a thread "This sucks" or "Some crappy crap I drew." It means I don't have to click on it! :D

Looks like I'm doing the same as others here. I used to check the majority of posts, but I don't have time for that anymore. I just look at a few of the subforums and quickly glance at the titles, user names, and ratings. I choose what to look at based on those.

I visit a few other message boards as well, and I've started doing similar things over on those.

i hear you.

i'm in school full time now and work the other days i'm not in school. i check this place out once a week now, but there are literally hundreds of new posts each week. i usually have to do quick scans of the post titles for artists i follow or "key words" of things i'm interested in.

a thought—could conceptart.org let us categorize the "View New Posts" to sections that we are interested in? in other words, view new posts in the "It's Finally Finished" section only?
