hi :)

I tried to illustrate space research scene from 1940's. I used 3ds max for referance hangar and aircraft models. Finally used photoshop for background, retouch and the other things.

thanks for your critics:bashful:

I like the work in general. I don't like the shape of the ship, maybe is not completely in '40. Or maybe just the camera is a little too far. What if you put something in foreground?
Anyay: great work!

I agree with you GRMC, it does looks like US shuttle, but isn't that the point of this painting?

This is pretty fantastic - I really like the attention to detail and the contrast of the bright landscape outside to the dark interior of the hangar, but there seems to be a kind of "sameness" to a lot of the textures. The brick and the rough foil and metal of the ship are rendered so similarly. Love the shiny metal on the wings, though.

I think the design of the ship is well done. It's a basic spaceplane shape, which is appropriate for a 40's design since it's a simple and effective shape for a spaceship to be. Something that I think would make the painting "pop" a lot more, though, is a sense of how heavy and dense something like this would probably be - Some sense of strain in its supports, maybe. Or it could be just because we're looking at it from so far away.

It's a beautiful painting, though - It really makes me want to see it flying along on a column of fire and smoke coming out of that massive engine. Any deeper reason you decided to retreat from drawing the entire swastika on the two flags, though, or did you just want to avoid the possibility of offending anyone?

Nice work!

I'm gonna get in the "i like the ship design" line. (it's kinda nice over here anyway) It looks like a natural progression of their 1940's design if it had been allowed to evolve further. It's kind of like, the shuttle design was inevitable in any universe, but here the Nazi's did it first.

hi! :) thanks for all your critics.

i wanted to create a wide scene so i didnt used anything in the forground.
i use different symbols on flags in the scene because it may cause some problems. Actually this is a historical content but may be restricted in some countries. so i think this usage enough.

thanks for all :)
