I use Captain FTP 1.40, found it on apple.com

there are several versions, but I use the free one and it works like a charm.

I didnīt know that Fetch was Freeware - I think itīs shareware. But itīs a fine program. Other program to try out you can find on Tucows (http://www.tucows.com) .

Thereīs a bunch of different ones as Free- and Shareware.

Are you on OS 9 or on OS X?

10 has FTP built in to the BSD subsystem... it's command line, but it works and is the most rock solid method around. Also has SCP, I think, which allows for secure copy protocol (hence the name).

I do like Fetch for OS 9, haven't managed to find a working trial version for 10.

There are loads of FTP front ends for 10. Check www.versiontracker.com (http://www.versiontracker.com) for more on those. If you can't find a decent program there, then TUCOWS won't help you, much, either. :(
