Sweet, animation forum on CA finally. I guess I will kick things off here..

This is a motion graphic I made for a DVD menu about a year ago. There is a sequel to this DVD in the works that my company did the production on, still working on release details. Check out more info at http://www.spaghettifest.com if you're interested.

I made this animation, Timebox, a few years ago. My first semi-formal animation work I had done since college. At the time I don't think I could have handled doing outright hand drawn animation, so we went for doing rotoscoping. Some of the most grueling animation work I've done.

A souce vs final shot for the Timebox project.

I got some more stuff but its a little older. I am working on hashing out some ideas for updating the reel in the next few months.

These r looking good. I think for the dvd menu screen u could vary some of the movements more. It could be more dynamic to have some of those pop-ups spiral out, or maybe some 3d space would look good. Cheers!

Yah I think you're right about the DVD menu. It should at least be faster than it is right now, if the motion were to stay the same.

I dunno if you've ever used Apple Motion (part of the Final Cut suite).. but it is kind of limited.. no 3d camera, no motion tracking. Some of these are supposed to be solved in the new release.

Thanks for the crit!
