hi. my name is todd, and i'm 16 years old.
i've been lurking around this forum for a month or so and decided to start my own sketchbook, for better or worse.
i know i'm still a noob at this, so any criticism would be appreciated.

Hey T-M-K! Nice start, I'm liking the last drawing's coloura lot.
Well, you asked for some criticism so here you go a little sugestion more than a critic. On the anatomy studies you should try to get a cleaner line and well, the man is falling to the right. Solving that wellm I would recommend some life studies, they're always a great experince man, keep it up and never get discouraged ;)

Nice painting. I like the textures. But I can't quite tell if it's a road, or a stream, or does it matter? I like it though.

FightingSeraph: I'd actually venture to say that quite a few artists start their sketchbooks fantastically. thanks, though
InFlame: thanks, glad you like them, yo. :D

so, I'm thinking that I might try to start updating this thing semi-daily. I doubt I'll be a able to carry through with it, but we'll see how it goes I guess.

man, school is a pain in my ass.
I wish I had an art class or something similar that could at least allow me to get a little practice in, but no dice.
here's a detail of an acrylic that I'm working on. any tips? I'm new to this.

school has been brutal lately, but now I have a whole week off to practice!
it's not really relevant to this website and it's not really art, but this (http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr200/tmkunkler/pu-3.swf) project has stolen my youth from me for a week or so, and I'm whoring it everywhere now that I've got it done. :spam:

seth1: Thanks! I actually tend to insert huge disfigured arms and stuff like that because I can never get anything symmetrical. yikes!
vanbythevaseline: thanks man, glad you think so.
jedininjaman: yeah I have trouble with faces, especially noses. ugh. thanks for the comment man, when I see similarly aged artists like you doing so much better than me I get totally pumped to improve :anime:

Hi man! Some real solid stuff here, but there are better ways to learn this stuff. For one I suggest doing some posemaniacs studies, those are pose studies from 3d figures. I would also suggest you study some more colour theory, so you get the whole blending thing down.
Life drawing is also something that you might want to look into, both casual drawing from life, and proper life studies.
