hey guys and gals! i'm having a show on this thursday, october 16, at the future primitive store on haight and steiner(lower haight). if you are in the area, it would mean loads to me if y'all come out and support. this is the first proper solo exhibition i've done in years, and i've been working my ass off for it. with the exception of 2 paintings, all the rest of the work is new. so if you're in the area, and want to look at some crappy art from little ol' me, come out, cuz i dont want to be chillin at my reception alone.-c36

I'd like to go but San Fran's too far away. Tell the gallery to tour your work, though. I love your colors. I'm sure my monitor doesn't do them justice.

That is a beautiful painting. It has a wonderful pop-art feel, but so beautifully painted. Beautiful textures too. My brother lives outside of San Fran. Next time I get over there (I won't be able to make your show) I would love to see some of your work. Do you have a gallery that you regularly show in? Hope to visit some time.

best of luck with the opening. If you plan the next one a few months ahead I could likely impose on some friends and relatives at the same time-- I'd love to see your colors in person. ;)

with so much good art, and digital stuff especially, it's easy to have very high standards for what constitutes impressive color useage. and this is impressive use of color.
best of fortune with the show!

el coro......I've admired your style for some time. Going into a gallery to see your work actually up on a wall would be the next thing to do. Unfortunately its quite a distance from LA. SF seems to have a good gallery scene, not as large as NY but more urban than LA. I think of painters like Robert Yarber who got their start in the Bay Area and I envy a place not so dominated by the film industry. One show is just the start, a good painter is always looking for his next venue. Anyway.....hope your show kicks ass and picks up a few reviews for us to read down here.

i wish i had a car, and didn't have a test tomorrow to study for. Good luck anyway. oh, and i'm spreading your art throughout, just showed my friend your site yesterday. sweet, of course.
on a related note, my friends and I are going to be painting a mural in the cancer ward at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek. Any ideas? we're running low on "uplifting" concepts...

Hey, I stopped by! You must've been out at the time, bummer or I would've said hi. Good stuff though man! Totally cool to see it in the flesh. I especially dug the "Coro Sketchbook" style protraits. And that gainormous oil was really impressive in real life. I like the way you installed it. :)
