this is the first time i took my time with an image. i wished i had more time to do more like this.

The face looks great. Tough rendering.
His hair and torso are a bit too blurry and undefined imho. Should get the same attention as his face.

I like the face, but the only crit i can give is that given amount blur added to the body it almost dislocates itself from the body, if you can reduce the blur on the boy and add a little more detail it will work, but till now it looks gr8.

I think the fading of the image outside of the face keeps you focused on the part of the image you want to be the center of attention....the face.

I think the lack of detail is distracting though and you might want to touch up the hair and torso to keep the piece balanced. I really like the expression and painterly style though.
