Hi everyone,

I did this sketch for an upcoming Japanese anime show that's being localized here in the states called Wolf's Rain. We needed art that would help promote the title here. So I did this sketch for work and sent it off to the japanese production team (Studio Bones) to redraw it to correct model and color. I was responsible for developing the design and concept of the "look" of the piece so I took about a a few hours and did this quick one. Hopefully I'll see the "real" final image soon when it comes back from japan.

It's a really good series. You guys should definitely check it out even if you aren't anime fans.

Yeah.. the Cowboy Bebop band is behind this title. One of the great titles of this year along with Last Exile, Naruto (still going) and Ninja Scroll TV and... well... there are some more. But try these first :)

Lovely drawing btw. Toboe seems a bit... strange i could be wrong - the angle wide.

Love the wolves.

Are these the characters from the show? Because I`ve never heard of it.

The shadow on the 2nd guy from the right, under the eye there, that would mean that there is some strange lump there.

Thanks. :) Yes the characters are from the show. This show is created by the same team behind Cowboy Bebop. Although, I don't have model sheets, I tried drawing to model as close as possible. But Mr. Kawamoto from Bones(character designer for bebop) will most certainly redraw the whole piece to this format to model and correct color.

I'm also planning on modelling a wolf or one of the characters in Maya just for fun. In the show, each of the male character is a wolf. They're not werewolves. They're wolves but have adapted to the human world and give the human eyes the illusion that they're humans while in actuality, they're still wolves. It's a very interesting show.

About the the shadow on the guys cheek, it's really the shadow of the nose and there shouldn't be a lump...I just did this really quick and didn't check the shadows too much. I just wanted to get the main idea of the whole piece across for the japanese artist who's going to draw it.
