Hey everyone,

We are in need of a talented Concept Artist to help us envision environments, props and characters for Panacea.

Panacea is a small scale horror game project developed by an international group of both industry professionals and students alike.
We are creating this game as both an Experiment on what can be achieved through athmosphere in contrast to mere action and simple scares, as well as a proof of concept to enter in the IGF festival late this year.
We are working with our own engine and thus have full control over all aspects of the game.

You would be working with a small team of talented artists, in tandem with the Sound- and Level Design, to create Assets that will immerse the player in a dense and tangible Athmosphere.

What we are looking for:

- Skills in traditional or digital drawing and painting.

- Both the ability to draw rough thumbnails without getting caught up in detail, as well as the ability to draw some detailed color concepts without losing sight of the bigger picture.

- Great understanding of how decay affecs objects and environments visually.

- Free time that you would be willing to spend working on this project.

While we work in a relaxed and friendly environment we do take this project seriously and have a tight deadline. We are a small team (< 10 people) and so we can't afford to pull dead weight. We actively try and work on the project every day.
We employ SCRUM to help us track the workload and plan sprints and we use Skype for all other communication.
Your Work will not be under a NDA, so it can be shown and used on portfolios freely. This might be standart in the free work forums, but i thought I'd mention it anyway.

And finally: We are all on European timezones, so it'd be great (but not required) if you could join us during (european) Evenings.

Sorry for the big Attachments. I had hoped they'd receive auto-thumbnails. I'll find a better solution soon.

Hi again!

Thanks for all the applications. We are still looking and want to point out that we are mainly looking for Environment concept artists, as characters are not of high priority at the moment.

Thanks and keep them applications coming! :)
