My Thesis Planning

Hi there! I'm new to this forum. I have been told this was a concept art forum, and i am really interested on becoming a concept artist. I'm studing Graphic design at UNAM, ENAP, in Mexico, and right now I'm about to plan my thesis. I want to make it about character design, to use on Drizzt Do'Urden (The WOTC books character) I already have made the character analysis, and the antropologic analysis... but I feel like I could be lacking a bit of info on what really a Character Design or Concept Art is. I hope you all could help me with this study :D ;) :chug: Best o' wishes!

Analysis is all well and good, but you gotta start brain storming on what the character looks like, what sort of world they live in, what their history is etc. chacter design, in the concept art meaning, is all about visuals. You can write down the characteristics, anthropolical features etc. but you have to draw it all out. Start brainstorming on costumes for the character and all that fun stuff, then people here can give you feedback on it.... just start drawing all your ideas, that's a good place to take off from.
