Hello,
I am looking for work as a concept artist, or concept art intern, with a studio somewhere. The job I currently work at is paying the bills, and has nothing to do with art -- I'm grateful for it, but it is not what I want to be doing for the rest of my life! I want to be earning my keep with my pencil and Wacom.
I don't have professional industry experience, so an internship or junior position would be ideal. That being said, I am a fairly quick study and will work hard to bring my skills up to par. I'm dedicated to the study of the craft (I couldn't afford art school, so I have been fumbling my way through self-study) after words with helpful art directors and, quite a while ago, a very long e-mail from this site's founder, Jason Manley.
It's my hope that an art director or staff artist, somewhere, sees this and feels I can be brought along, nurtured in the craft and taught properly to be a good artist who can contribute something of value to a team.
