hello this is my first time posting on this site, and hoping to get some feedbacks on my rough sketches that i'm working on atm, i see so many great artists on this site and only hope i can one day be as good as them <333 i deal with mostly anime and manga style hehe but i used to deal with realism and paintings as well its just now i'm more into the anime and manga as i hope to be a mangaka in the future <333 *bows*

You have some very nice illustrating skills. I especially like the third one down, untitled 1-4. You achieved a nice equilibrium of white and black with the character. You could probably upload the images in higher resolution, if you wanted to, so we could see a little more detail.

Anime is not a problem if you have working knowledge of important artistic principles like proportion, color theory, shapes, ect. ect. Anime only becomes a problem when the style is pursued in absence of the aforementioned concepts. keep up the good work, and welcome to the CA boards. :yayca:

Hi Rice Im also new, people dont seem to comment much on new peoples work so I thought I would join in :) nice anime work, I think that your finished art works are good characters and lineart but the colours a bit high contrast and that makes all the details a little hard to read.

@odin heheh thanks i just checked out your sketchbook and found out you're going to ut of arlington i have a lot of friends that gradurated from there <333 when i used to live in austin i would make a trip like one or twice to arlington to visit

@street thanks i'm trying to get more style out but a lot of people commission me for just a character pose i want to start doing my own thing and draw more on my style and sceneries as well

@gdonald hehehe yea i'm trying to learn my way around things here and i get what you saying bout the colors ehheh i'll play with the contrast more when i'm done with my next drawings

thanks fierce gah i forgot i had that samurai wip so small......... i'll pull up the file later to make a bigger version <3 and also the img tags doesn't work for this forum?
