This may be a noobie question but how do you make a speed painting video?

I just want to know how to record what I'm doing while I'm painting in photoshop (CS2) to make a time lapse video.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hudd

CamStudio is probably your best bet. The codec is not as good as Camtasia's but for speed painting it'll be just fine. You can convert the video using VirtualDub, and make some kind of soundtrack of it using Audacity.

If you have money and want to spend more time doing this kind of stuff, I'd recommend using Camtasia and Adobe Audition for the audio editing.

And make sure you have enough hard disk space and ram to process the raw footage and the final edit.

If posting on Youtube be aware of maximum file size and time limit requirements.

Good luck.
