this is more or less finished, but it didn't seem right to post it in sketches or 'finished', so it's here. C&C would be greatly appreciated - i know i slaughtered the perspective in parts, but info on how to fix it otherwise would be VERY useful for future work! Thanks!

Adding more shadow and highlights would help with your perspective. ie. shadow under the beams highlights on the edges.

I have no problem with the perspective. I have a problem with where this is all leading. I mean you are putting a lot emphasis on the vanishing point, of course with the lines but also with your values but there is nothing to look at down there! So the first reaction is 'I'm looking at... nothing'.
You should definetely place 'someting' down there because that's the center of interest in your composition. It could be a character looking up, an object, a vent with some weird stuff happening or maybe just an opening with some light showing. Right now it looks like an empty shaft which is not very interesting. Your picture has to tell a story if you want people to be interested in it. The technique alone will not sell it.
Other than that great technique, very clean, good values.

cool - thanks for the tips guys. This was mostly a technique test, so its good to hear that it's passable on that mark. I agree that it should have some kind of focus, though, that's a great point - i will work on that! thanks again!
