Here we go again! Here is a work-in-prog I would love some crits and suggestions for.

Personally, I don't have any crits. I like it. In fact, I like the unfinished quality it has. The warm cast reflections are nice too. Great job.

looks good, i like your style. the only thing that seems kinda strange to me is the way she's holding the sword. her left hand is facing down, and that isn't a very comfotable way to hold something, i was just trying it with an umbrella.... the only way it felt "right" was if it draped across my left shoulder (hands in the same position as your pic). make sense? basically, keep her hands the same, just bring the blade closer to us, hang it on her left shoulder. and add a background!! :D

think it looks excellent so far - really like the pose
i would think about changing the sword positioning though, to me actually, it looks physically impossible

it seems as though the handle of the sword should be in front of her right side, not behind it - judging by where her left hand is grabbing the bottom part of the handle
right now it looks as if the handle is going through her armor on her right waist

man fix that and youre golden
great job

Looks really good but there are some problems with her far side near her hands. Other than what's already been said, the handle of the sword doesn't line up. It's like she's holding a sword in her far hand, and holding something else in front of her in her near hand. The fact that the armor on her far hip comes in between both ends only reinforces this illusion. Might want to consider reworking that area.

The color job and general pose/drawing itself is very good though.

Yeah, the sword is kinda in la la land. It used to line up, but I had to fix some anatomy issues with the close arm length, and then I had to make the far shoulder smaller, and well.... It threw it all off. But I caught it myself this time! Yay!

But now I wonder what to do with the sword... perhaps break it into two smaller swords, or something. That would avoid the armor issue... or maybe I should just change that lower hand pos. and reattach the handle. That would probably be best.

This is looking good. Like others said the sword is kinda wonky. Just some more little details/rendering and it will be awesome.

couple of suggestions to fix the sword -

--take captains advice and bring the sword in front of her, propping it up on her left shoulder - still would be a cool pose

--angle the blade so it looks as if its going into the background, not straight up - this way the hands can stay in relatively the same position but the handle would be coming across, sort of resting on her hip

--or what about some crazy sort of handle, one with a big "U" shape that comes down from her right hand and curves up to her left hand - this way the part of the handle by her right hand can realistically still be behind her hip armor and her hands will stay in the same place

i dunno
-peace and have fun

It looks like her left lower arm doesn't line up with the upper arm, also I think there's too much of a curve on the lower arm from the elbow to the wrist. Moving the whole lower arm and hand into line with the upper arm might solve this. I like the position of the sword. Leaning it into the shoulder more might be better, but I don't think it's that important. You could possibly put something else in her left hand. Like a helmet or wine or water vessel of some type. I like the rest of the painting very much, especially the color of her armour and hair. Good work.
