Hey Everyone,
My first portfolio didn't get any takers from the industry. So I am doing another batch of Illustrations to clean it up. This piece is one of them. First time using JUST Photoshop. C & C's are welcome. -Jeff

Great style Jeff! Its got a really nice feel to it. Something about her face bugs me though...but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Wow, that's just a beautiful picture. Great job.

The only thing that I noticed is that the entire drawing has very clean looking edges except for the upper left area of her shawl. It seems a little blurry where it overlaps her head and a little sketch on the lower edges. The same sketchiness can also be seen a little on the opposite side also.

Not sure if that was intentional or not, or if it really detracts from the picture. Just thought I'd point it out. :)

this is extremely cool. I think that there may be some issues with the face but the rendering is fantastic and the color is great.

Very nice !
I like everything with it. ANd infact especially the face. THe nose area is very big, but I'm sure that is intentionally (?) which in my opninion makes her very charismatic.

Nice color and drawing. Cool style. I would have to say the face bugs me too. The big nose doesn't fit the character and the pose.

I'm really impressed. The cleanliness of it and the stylisation of something that looks very realistic is technically amazing. The pose, the look, the colors are all really good. It's a picture that tells a story.
I checked your website and I really dig your art. Your use of light in some pieces is masterful. Excelent.

Did you use any reference for this image?

Yes the hands are very well done. The colour scheme and the warm colours work well together. The facial proportions are off slightly, nose, chin, eye comparison I think as djfournr said something was off. Its not something to really worry about though and looks great!

This is really well done. The only cc that I would have to make on it is that the shawl, and the hair both don't have a line around them like the rest of the figure does (then again that might be style looking at the rest of your stuff) and the sketchyness under the chin makes it look like you didn't color the neck *squints to look*

The pose, the hands, the style, the look on her face, everything about the form and fashon of the artwork is outstanding. It's almost like new disney meets comic books. (that's a good thing) I'm envious of your coloring and have wanted to color like that for a long time. Save for what I said, it's really amazing. How do you color?

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for all your great feedback. All the suggestions were very helpful and I've made changes to my picture accordingly!
As for references, I looked through a lot of National Geographics for costume ideas and my buddys girlfriend posed for the hands.
Thanks again for all your cc's and I be posting new stuff soon!

stlye is like disney but more detailed, i love it. Make the chin and jawbone larger though, she has a little granny chin, other than that, it kicks.

I really like the colors, and the way the tatoo almost "extents" her cloth. :) nice.
