I have limited experience with different media, but this reminds me of an oil painting. I just love the textures you can get from oils and it really looks awesome.

Great job on the hair. I don't know how to discribe the way that violet accent on the eye makes me feel. But it sure is a beautiful thing.
Very Nice

Sweet :D
A lot of 50s guys in Sweden painted this way. It would be even more 50´s if he bacgrounfd had big fields of darkblue and green and grewis smeared in it.
Also that hairdoo is from the 50´s, but I cant remember what they called it. :D

Hi! I'm relatively new to this forum and I got puzzled when I saw this section. I tried to understand the driving motion of creativity that makes an artist paint himself over and over thru months. Is it obsession?

well, if youre implying that he is obsessed with himself, i dont think thats the case
but i do think its an obsession of getting better, progressing and honing his skills
....hmmm ...or maybe he is just totally obsessed with his own face ;)
great, as usual android - i love what you do

I saw his last portraits and definitely he is aiming to improve painting skills, I was just confused because I’m doing the same thing :), I think it is a compliment to such great painter as he is.
See ya!
